Transition evidence cohort

HTTP referrers are useful but optional. This bounded cohort compares ordinary links with otherwise equivalent links carrying a fixed edge label shared by every visitor.

The label identifies only a published source-to-target edge. It is not generated per request, browser, crawler, person, or session, and it does not prove a click or causal traversal.
